Baseball Season

Braeden played baseball this season. His team was the Microsoft Windows/ Cubs and he was number 8. In this league its still coach pitch and there is a 2 base per hit rule. Also only 6 runs per inning. Braeden is very serious about baseball. He watches it on TV all the time, plays it on the wii and uses his pitchback and batting ball to practice ALOT.

He had a perfect season and NEVER struck out. In one or two games he had more than 3 of the outs and he is a great fielder. The kids have to play every position, and he changes his mind everyday which one he likes the best.

Liesl and I have really enjoyed going to all the games to see him play. He invites anyone and everyone to come and watch him. I'm going to be sad when the season is over and I can't go anymore. We're thinking of letting him try out for the traveling team this fall. With one more game to go, his team is tied for 2nd place.

We have a crawler!

Liesl learned how to crawl. She was a pro in no time at all and is climbing and reaching up on everything. She is a real explorer. It is no longer safe to leave ANYTHING on the tops of the coffee and end tables. All outlets have been covered and the fireplace is currently wearing a lovely doubled up comforter. We installed a baby gate in the living room and she HATES being caged up. Personally I love watching her little butt movin when she goes across the room. She is so cute!

Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice quiet 4th this year.
We went to church and cooked out on the grill.
We had a bonfire and did some sparklers and smoke bombs.

I told you Liesl had some great hats! :)
Cleo spent the night with us the night before so she wouldn't freak out during the fireworks with Dennis not at home. This is her sneaking into a photo. She did really well with the baby on the floor in her space. Liesl tried really hard to catch her wiggly little tail but never did.

Already this month she is up on her hands and knees rocking back and forth. She'll be crawling in no time. She has also started a hunger strike and barely eats, I am blaming teething as I can't seem to find anything else wrong. We bought about every teething medicine and toy we could find.

7 months

Liesl turned 7 months in June. She had a fun time this summer with Mom and Big Brother.
She learned to sit up by herself and surprised mommy one morning when I walked in and found her just sitting there playing.

She enjoys the pool and gets to splash around almost every day.

She loves watching her big brother playing basketball or baseball and goes to all of his games. Here they are trading silly bands.

This year was Daddy's first father's day.
Both Grandpas's came over for a cookout. We celebrated Papa Hagg's one year sober too.
We are very proud of him.

Liesl has lots of hats and bathing suits, she leaves them on and I get a big kick out of dressing her in them. This is her eating her first biter bisquit. She likes them alot, but what a mess.

We went to our first Big girl Tea party. A breast cancer fund raiser in Cleveland. Mema bought me this fancy flouffy dress and I loved it.

She sat on the floor and flounced her dress for 20 mins.

Papa Hagg.

This is Liesl and Grandpa Eye at the German American festival.

This month we also went to the zoo and to a graduation party.

6 months

Liesl turned 6 months in May.

She sleeps every night with her dolly and her hungry caterpillar. ... and about 6 binkys :(
She learned to move from laying to sitting up by herself.

Had her first baby pool experience. She is definately a water baby.

We had to wait till she could sit up on her own to have a bath in the kitchen sink.

this month she figured out how to play peek a boo, and loves to play especially with Daddy. She had another visit with Uncle Dan when he came home for great Grandma's surgery and she continues to try new foods, tho she seems to be getting pickier and pickier.
